Spillover Breeds Quitters

I have been inundated with all sorts of business opportunities designed to make me a gazillionaire in a very short time.  My very favorite is the “hook” that the scammers call Spillover.  This magic phenomena occurs when others are doing the work for you and they are having so much success that their prospects literally spillover into your organization.  Wow!  Wouldn’t that be great if it truly existed.

I recently was sent an email from Lynda Cromar discussing this various notion of “Spillover” that describes this method very well.  I thought I would share this with you.

“Good people don’t want welfare. They want to build it themselves. They just want to learn the skills they need to build this business and create residual income, money that’s coming in week after week, year after year, and they can will it to their children’s children.

And if you look closely at the compensation plans of the companies that promote spillover, you’ll find out that those who get spillover usually don’t get paid on it. There are other hoops to jump through to get paid on that spillover, and these people rarely ever qualify.

Companies & reps use “spillover” as a tool to drag in people who think they can build a business without doing any work. In other words, no sponsoring, no recruiting. It targets that type of person. When You Say “Spillover”, You Are Targeting Quitters!

When you see a network marketing company that promotes spillover on their website, they’re looking for welfare-minded people. The problem for you is, you can’t build with these people, unless YOU do all the work! That’s what they expect. And when you don’t build their business, they’ll be off somewhere else, looking for a better welfare plan. Conclusion? Run like heck from any company focused on “spillover” – and ALWAYS generate your own leads.”

I think that Lynda said that very well.  Now back to the real question at hand.  How can the average person avoid this and other scams that are trying to separate you from your money?  The answer is very clear:  Get a sound truthful education in network marketing. Seek out a mentor that has your best interest at heart and not some one who is using you as affiliate fodder by promising you the moon if you only sign up with his or her marketing program designed to ‘help’ you earn extra income while your primary business develops.  The only person you are ‘helping’ is the scammer as they slowly drip and drip money from your wallet on a monthly basis.  Get Help now and put an end to this roller coaster ride of  slick deals and lousy companies.

I look forward to working with you and hope you have much success.

When Did You Stop Being You?

When we look back at our lives when was that moment when you gave up being you and started being someone else? When was it you thought that being you wasn’t good enough so you had to change to some impostor so that you could succeed?
Well as Dr Phil would say, “How Is That Working For You?”. If you are honest in your assessment the answer should be, “Not very well Thank You.” Have you ever heard the quote by William Shakespeare,  “To Thine Own Self Be True?”  Think about what that means.  Put very simply is that when you close your eyes at night only you know who you really are.   The only way that you can be successful, feel successful and have a rich rewarding life  is if you become yourself and do what is in you. We all have inborn talent and it is up to us to search it out and find it.

Many of us have had a hard go at life and as Sylvester Stallone says…“It is not about how hard you hit.  It is about how hard you can be hit and keep moving forward.” How do we find what is in us? That answer is different for everyone but it all starts with a sound education.  Learn how to read, learn how to think and learn how to be yourself.

If you are looking to find your way through the mine field of Internet businesses and working on line to success you need to be pointed in the right direction.   Click Here to get information that will enable you to take back your own life andbegin to prepare for success.  I will believe in you and you will soon believe in yourself.

I look forward to working with you and hope you have much success.

What Is Your Hourly Pay Rate In Your MLM?

Hey what type of question is that? questions1
It doesn’t make any sense since everything depends on how hard you work and what you do to grow your business Right?  Well Yes and No.

What?  Now how is that an answer, yes and no?

If you want to know how much money you are making with your MLM  you have to ask the right question.  In Network Marketing you make money on the effort of many people in your downline.  The question will remain and always remain is how many people are in your downline.

It seems that if all things are created equal (a company with good products sold at reasonable prices) that people with the same number of people in their downline will be making approximately the same as everyone else with the same numbers.

Doesn’t that sound reasonable to you
It might sound reasonable but it “just ain’t so”.  There is a  companythat you need 28,000 people in your downline to make $10,000 per month while there is another company that you need around 400.
Which company would you like to work for?money-bags
The question I like to ask ( I call it the 10k question) is the following:
How Many Active Reps Do You Need in Your Down Line to Create $10,000 per Month in Walkaway Residual Income?”  Let’s look at what that statement asks and break it down part by part.downline2

Part One:  What are active reps?
These are the people that are in your downline.
How long these distributors stay with the company and consequently in your down line depends on a variety of factors, the biggest one is are they getting paid and what is the retention rate of distributors in your company.  This ‘Retention’ question will be discussed in another article.

Part Two: What Does Walkaway Income Mean?
This essential means can you quit the company and still receive your residual income.  Can you go on vacation and not be in constant contact with your organization and still get paid.  Is your income able to be passed onto your spouse, children or other members of your family.  Is your residual income ‘willable’?
To find out you must read very carefully the policies and procedures of the company.   If you spot ‘red flags’ red-flagsthen as Michael Dlouhy says “Run far and run fast”

If you are having trouble with your companies policy and procedures section contact me and I will review it with you and give you a truthful explanation of how I see things.  Also if you are having problems understanding the pay plan and the 10k question I will also work with you.

All  I ask is that we are on the same page when it comes to network marketing.  To speak the same language down load the book Success in 10 Steps by Michael Dlouhy and join me at Mentoring for Free.  I will also give you access to our free training system that can be used with any MLM as is completely free.

I look forward to working with you and hope you have much success.

Are You The New Sucker Born This Minute?

“If it sounds to good to be true it probably is”. “If it was that good everyone would be doing it”. We have all heard these sayings, maybe from our mothers, maybe from our other relatives but guess what? They are truer today than ever before especially when you are talking about Internet businesses and more importantly “Internet Business Opportunities.”

pt-barnum-image2As P.T. Barnum said, “There is a sucker born every minute” and these are the people that the Internet predators are looking for. The fancy sounding business propositions guaranteeing you that “You can make thousands while on vacation with your family” if you only sign up now and join this wonderful opportunity. Usually there are various conference calls or get started calls hosted by various sweet sounding people telling you how easy it is and how much money they made with virtually little or no work. All you have to do is follow their “Secret System” that is only available with their exclusive ”Proprietary Software” and break through techniques. To add insult to injury you are also given a list of the money made by these “hosts” and their sad story of how they were virtually broke and couldn’t afford to take their kids to the dentist or pay their mortgage or ______(you can fill in the blank with whatever catastrophic incident you can think of. Give me a break!! If it happened at all, it only happened to less than 1% of the people who ever tried this “business opportunity”.

Let’s fast forward to reality. Is everything on the Internet one giant scam? Of course not! If you could get truthful information about network marketing and online businesses you could evaluate companies yourself. Mentoring for Free will give you honest value with no hype, no false promises and just actual down to earth value. We are not promising you the moon, but we do show you how to get there.

Invasion of the Phony Friends – Punked Internet Style

This time they have invaded the social networks. They are all over Facebook, Twitter, My Space, Better Networker and Adland Pro just to name a few.

more-scams1This is how the game is played by the hustlers:

1) They sign up for a free account at one of the social networks or so

called business networks.

2) They then click around each site and start collecting ‘friends’. But what they are really doing is ‘List Building”.  They believe everything is in the list.  The bigger the list, the bigger the group of suckers that you can email and harass about your ‘business opportunity’. They want you to believe that they are offering you a great service if you only click on their web site

3) They start out by innocently exchanging pleasantries and hopefully

building a ‘friendship’ or a relationship then they are ready to introduce

you to this great business opportunity that they just heard about. It is

in the pre launch or beta stage and now is the time to sign on. It will

be bigger than eBay. And since you are their newest friend they are

telling you about it. Wow! What a nice person. They are sharing this

secret with me, their newest friend.

4) You sign up for free and soon realize that in order to make the ‘big’

money you need to upgrade. It just so happens that when you upgrade

your new friend gets an affiliate check for you upgrading. Do they share

the money with you? Of course not. You have just been punked, Internet

version.

truthWhat to Do!

When people want to be your friend on the Internet find out if they are Real

Friends or Phony Friends. It is very easy to tell. Do the following test.

1. A Real Friend will guide you through the dangerous waters of Network

Marketing while you keep your hand on your wallet.

2. A Phony Friend will push you through the dangerous waters of Network

Marketing while his hand is in your wallet.

In other words, find out what is your new friends motive. There are people

that genuinely want to help you, but the vast majority simply want to help

themselves. So be very, very wary

How To Increase The Failure Rate in MLMs from 95% to 98%

marketing-pushersWell I think we finally got it. The Gurus and Internet whiz kids are looking for the “Failures to Be” and they will help you get there by taking your money for so called cutting edge programs that are available for free elsewhere What all the Gurus have been telling us is that the old ways of the 50’s and 60’s just don’t work anymore.  You need new modern methods to be successful and they can provide them for you

Can you see the cool Hollywood type guy in his sunglasses inviting you into his home to tell you he built a list of over 100,000 people and he will show you how to do the same thing.  He says “You Have to Build a List”.  “The Power is in the List”.  As a matter of fact he will send you a free newsletter on how to be a marketing pro just like him.  He wants to be your new friend.  What about the slick gal in the pant suit that is offering her free information about how to be successful with your online business.  She also wants to be your new friend. She wants to help you build your list.  In reality she wants you on her list.

guru32All they want you to do is sign up for their free stuff then….the fun begins.  You are then told about their magnetic, attraction, gravitational, pulling, enchanted, hypnotic or whatever fancy named system that will draw clients to you magically and will beg you to let them join your opportunity.

These people are the new generation of Internet friends that I call PFs or Phoney Friends.  Just like the days back in high school when someone new you happened to meet wanted to be your friend and all of a sudden they wanted something from you.  You remember those people don’t you?  Every school had them.  They were the people who just wanted to use you and get what they could from you.  Same thing here…they want you to buy their product, their cool marketing system, their fantastic money making machine.  They will guide you through the internet maze with one hand in your wallet.  These people are not helping you.  They are helping themselves.  Some things never change do they?

common-sense-2But Wait a minute….There are people that will actually help you for free.  They are called “Mentors”  The plan is very simple:

1) Give you a sound education in Network Marketing

2) Help you find an ethical company that will treat you fairly and pay you well

3) Teach you how to use a duplicatable program to teach others the same thing.

4) Enjoy helping other become successful while you become more successful.

The Mentors will “guide” you through the Internet Home Business maze at your pace and when you are ready to be successful.  All they ask is that you are coachable.  The price has been reduced from Free to Really Free if you act now. (Sounds like Guru talk).  How is that for the best deal of the day?  Well how do we make any money?  What is our hidden agenda?  Good Question.  Very simply put we love the network marketing industry and we strongly dislike greedy CEO types.  If you would like to find out about what network marketing company your mentor works with, he or she will tell you about it.  Perhaps you will want to join his or her company.  Perhaps you won’t and it is still okay because the mentors will still be there to help you along the way.  It is up to you.

Why do I speak with such knowledge of this mentoring program?  Very easily, since I am one of the Mentors and I have been to the school of ‘hard knocks’ and have met the CEOs (Which I call Crooked Evil Opportunist).  I was also ‘mentored’ and my life and attitude has changed for the positive.  You should give yourself a chance to be successful because your lack of success is not your fault.    Best wishes in finding the Mentor of Your Choice.

Affiliate Marketing – Turning Multiple Income Into Multiple Out Go

This is an all to common a story of how someone with good intentions gets ambushed by the slicksters and Internet hustlers with promises of easy money for not much work.  It all started out in a very innocent way.  I will be telling this story through the eyes of Naive Ned.

money-treeI was looking for an easy way to make some money on the Internet.  Sound familiar?  I heard about residual income so I was looking for a business opportunity with a great pay plan.

I pictured myself as an entrepreneur getting in on the ground floor of a really cool company and making lots of cash with not much effort.  I checked out the various traffic exchanges and found countless business opportunities that would let me make money by advertising other people’s companies.

I saw the light and I would not have to invest much of my own money to get started with my own home business.  Now this is a solution that I could live with.  You see by simply advertising other people’s ’stuff’ I would get paid a commission.  Sounds like a win-win proposition to me.

too-good-to-be-trueSo after checking out the many, many, affiliate programs I decided on a few programs that I really thought were cool

One was advertising new website domain extensions, because all of the dot com extensions will soon be used up.  Another was to advertise to ‘find people’.  This seemed real hot as people are always looking for other people. I then found a self improvement site, a cell phone carrier featuring new technology,  a few traffic exchange sites where I could make a commission, and finally a marketing company that would show people how to market and be successful on the Internet.  Wait until you hear this. I also found a cool site where I could create my own shopping mall and this also let me donate money to a World Hunger organization. Can you imagine shopping at Ned’s Mall?

A few of the sites cost me $10 a month but that included banner ads and some pre written emails that I could use. The marketing site was a liitle more but hey this is a business and you have to pay your dues.   Also for only $19.95 a month I would be given a real cool company website that would track my sales and tell me about my commissions.

scam-3A few of the companies told me that if I signed up with them I could get an auto responder for only $15.95 a month (normal charge was $29.95 per month) and it would automatically answer all my emails.  I learned that I should brand myself so I purchased a few domain names and learned how to mask the company site and present it as my own.  Really cool eh?

This is not really cost me very much money at all to have my own affiliate Internet business.  The ad said that if you wanted to open up McDonald’s it would cost close to a half million bucks and I didn’t have that kind of dough so this plan sounds real good to me.

I plan on getting even more companies to advertise and the money will real come rolling in.   I think I am going to need some good lead generation tools and perhaps hook up with a lead generation company (I think one of the companies I am advertising for can get me a good deal on monthly double opt in leads) then I will be set……

bernie-madoffWait a MINUTE Ned!  ALL I SEE IS MONEY GOING OUT…. NOT COMING IN!!  Is something starting to Stink???  How much is your time worth to advertise for other people?  Have you noticed when you visited those business sites everyone is doing the same thing….advertising someone else’s junk!  You have become THEM!…an advertising affiliate hooker.  Perhaps we should call you an MLM Tart.  Who is the only one making the big bucks?…It is the company that you are advertising for, not you.

If you are serious about making money with a home business then you must be ready to do  some work.  It is not hard but it is still work.  I will help you find that company that treats you with respect and not like a $10 hooker.  I will show you how to navigate through the tricky waters and avoid the scam artists and bogus companies that lurk on the Internet.  It is up to you Ned.  You can be successful with me or take your chances with the sharks. It is your choice Ned, you certainly need a mentor.

Affiliate Marketing Companies – CEOS* (Crooked Evil Opportunists on Steroids)

ceoMy company XYZ Enterprises makes the all new and improved ‘Humanic Miracle Capsule’  This is a cutting edge innovative product that will cure anything and make every one handsome and beautiful at the same time give them self confidence and clear thought.  It only cost $79.95 for a 30 day supply.  Now I need people to advertise for me.

I am looking for someone whom I will call Danny Dopey and Dora Doorknob that believes that you an make a great living advertising someone else’s product.alfred-e-neuman-2

My plan is 2 fold.  First of all for any product sold I will give them a commission of 3%.  If Danny or Dora bring in other affiliates under them I will increase their commission to 5%.  What the heck the product only costs me $19.95 to make so what is 5%?  No big deal since I am not doing any of the work.  Oh yeah It cost me a few hundred bucks to put up the website and ordering system for the whole company but that all comes under business expenses so no big deal to me.  This is sounding better and better to me all the time.

con-artist-3The second part of the plan is all the kick backs I will receive from the marketing company, the auto responder company, the domain name company and the other affiliates that I have contracted out with to advertise their services through my company.

What I need now is hundreds and thousands of Danny Dopey’s and Dora Doorknobs to do my bidding.  I will contact my web designers and I will instruct them to hype up the ad so only a complete fool would not join this great opportunity.

They will  develop a super hype splash page and blast it all over the internet featuring the best compensation plan in the world.  I will tell them to use wording like those suggested by Bob and Anna Bassett:

“fully forced, automatic, democratic, dynamic compression, upfront, oversized, incessant success, swirling vortex, big ticket, big league, binary, trinary, nonflushing, checkmatching, revolutionary, fiduciary, patent pending, never ending, pulsepounding, jaw dropping, competition stopping, bonus-to-infinity, stairstep on steroids, spillover, sensational generational, residual, ruby, gold, silver, bronze, diamond, emerald, soaring, sapphire, black pearl, platinum, pulsating, prelaunch, powerleg, extreme dream, dual edge, open, smoke free, supersucking, miracle money, skyrocketing, siphon, magnetic and mirrorless matrix with an astonishing back end black belt millionaire unilevel level playing field, recession proof, rotating, rebate, lifestyle, quick start, global revenue, perfect profit sharing, virtually unlimited vehicle, car pool bonus, cascading cash cow income.”

With all this hype spread around all the major traffic exchanges people would be  crazy not to jump on board right now and join my affiliate program.

con-artist-2MAN! I AM TIRED JUST THINKING ABOUT IT,  This is going to be GREAT!  Can you imagine that I will have hundreds and thousands of people advertising my soon to be famous Humanic Miracle Capsule and I will make a fortune and only pay out peanuts to the shmoes that are my ‘trusted affiliates’.  I LOVE when a PLAN COMES TOGETHER!

The Moral of the story is don’t be a Danny or Dora!  Find a great company that is built on Integrity and treats their distributors well…and stick with them.  To find a great company you should find a mentor.  I will mentor you for free and help you be successful with a home business.  All you have to do is ask for my help.

* Many kudos to Anna Bassett who coined the phrase CEOS (Crooked Evil Opportunists on Steroids)

Failure in 10 Steps Part 5

In this final article on ‘Failure in 10 Steps’ I would like to look at 2 very different causes of failure. One that gets noticed because of all the hype involved and the other that rarely gets noticed until the business owner realizes that he or she is holding the short end of a very messy stick.
9. Become Part of ‘The Pre Launch Hocus Pocus’scam2This sort of business opportunity(?) is all over the internet.  It always seems to ask the same question.  Wouldn’t you like to have been on the ground floor when ’such and such’ started.  You can fill in the ’such and such’ with household names like ‘Google’, ‘eBay’, ‘Yahoo’ etc etc.

Here the scammers are having you think that if you quickly join their opportunity you will become as wealthy as Bill Gates because you ’saw’ the future and realized that this ‘pre-launch company’ was really going to be big and you were in the ‘right place at the right time’.

Boy are you the very lucky one to discover this company and you can get in on the ground floor before they launch the full program in a few weeks or months etc.  You can even get a discount if you join up now!

thinking-monkeyWAIT A MINUTE!
Let’s go back to our old friend ‘Common Sense’.  They want you to do what???  Join a company and pay good money to a start up company with no track record of success and filled with not customers but just promise.  I might have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night!  Good Grief!  I am looking for a ‘Quality Company’ not a fly by night outfit. I am going with what Michael Dlouhy said when he evaluates a company.  He strongly believes you should find out about the following:
1. Does the company management have personal experience building their own networking organization?  Have they done it with Integrity?
2. Has the company passed the “early failure” Time Line?  Are the company’s Products timed with the beginning of a massive trend of consumer demand?
3. Does the company have a Remarkable product at a reasonable price?

4. Does the Compensation Plan Pay Part-Timers?
5. Does your Mentor offer a System for Success that will work for You?

If the company you are considering does not have every one of the above five qualities then my advice would be for you to stay away unless again you are lookng for failure and frustration.  You will without a doubt find it.

10. Skip Reading and Understanding the Policies and Procedures of the Company – This is one of the least ‘fun’ things to do.  Well ‘to bad’, do it anyway. The Policies and Procedures (hereafter called the PnP) was written by teams of lawyers to protect the company.lawyers

Ask yourself this question!  Who is protecting you?  You are, is the answer, so make sure you read and re-read all the PnP.  Find out if the company can drop you without cause and steal your downline.   Can people ‘join’ the company and be placed above you?  How will you get paid?  How much company product and training do you need to purchase?  Is there charges for websites. auto responders etc.

If you are not sure about any of the PnP  ask your sponsor.  If they do not know the answer be very very wary.  Again this comes down to common sense.  Why are these questions so hard to answer?  Are you sure you want to be involved with a company with PnP that are unclear and confusing.  I certainly would not.

In my opinion everything in this article comes down to two things.  The first is a healthy dose of common sense and the second is to find a mentor, who does not have a monetary interest in you,  who will help you navigate through the troubled and confusing waters of Network Marketing.  It is a wonderful industry and with the proper mentor you can become successful.

Failure in 10 Steps Part 4

In this article I explore two other areas that lead to failure.  As in all of the previous articles I call on my good friend – “Common Sense” to help me understand why people do what they do to drive business away from them by using ‘Uncommon Sense’.
7. “How to Become A Social Network Blunderer” dobie-gillisFirst of all let us all understand one thing.  All social networks are not the same.

Some are for people looking to make new friends, find romance, share experiences and find business networks. You must understand what type of site you are on.  If you are on a purely social site then do not be shouting your business opportunity.  Let’s face it, the main reason you joined this social network was to get more exposure, but you must do it in a smart way.  When you start ‘collecting’ new friends work on building a relationship about who you are and what are your likes and dislikes.  Imagine you are invited to a party with all sorts of people you never met before.  Would you run up to each person you meet and tell them about your business opportunity?  If you did that the people at the party would run away from you.  I know that is what  I would do.  I didn’t go to the party to get ‘pitched’ by some total stranger.

The better way would be to ask them about themselves and start a ‘conversation’.  Find out about them and they will want to know about you.  This is called building a relationship.  As the conversation develops (maybe after 3-5 emails) then you could tell them what you do.  Now they will be more interested in ‘You’ and will be more receptive to hearing about your business.  If they are not interested in a business opportunity that is okay.  The worst thing that could happen is that you found an Internet friend that you can share other ideas and thoughts  with.

If you happened to be on a business site, then again don’t shout out your opportunity until you have built up a relationship.  Exchange some emails and find out how their business is going or how they are advertising or what they like about the site they are on.  Again, become interested in what they are doing and they will become interested in what you are involved with. You are on your way to  building a solid business relationship.  Many people are not truly sold on the business they are in at the present time and maybe they are actually still looking for that better opportunity.  Maybe your opportunity is the one they need, but they will never hear about it from you unless you are building a relationship.  Back to the common sense thing again.  How would you like to be treated by a new friend?  Think about it.

don-rickles8. Learn The ‘In Yo Face’ Advertising Method.
Now this method is very, very popular and it can be seen all over the internet.  Does this sound familar to you?

Hey look at me!  Hey look at my deal!  My deal’s the best!  I’m making a million dollars a month!

You should join me now! This is a ground floor opportunity!  Join now!

Don’t miss this one!  This is great!  Wow! Easy cash!  Big Bucks!  No recruiting!

Secure your spot now!  Free to join!  Wow!  We’ll do the work!  Wow!  Make billions!

As popular as this type of advertising seems to be, it flat out DOESN’T WORK! No one likes to be sold!   No One likes pushy sales people!   If you are ’slamming” your opportunity up side people’s heads you are doing it ALL WRONG.duh
If you want people to be interested in you, advertise YOU.   Be someone who gives people value not hype and a bunch of shouting!  Remember people join people, not companies or products or websites. To find out more about advertising find a mentor, not a marketing system.  Find someone who actually cares about you and your success.  Find a Mentor with a Servant’s Heart.
